A DRIVER and company have both been fined for using a vehicle which was likely to cause danger or injury.
Emlyn Nash, 53, of Windsor Terrace, Aberystwyth Road, Cardigan, admitted using a vehicle likely to cause danger or injury at Llanelli Magistrates Court on January 4.
The offence was committed on June 16 when he was driving a Scania lorry on the A4120 Aberystwyth and a metal bolster from the rear of the lorry had come loose which could involve the injury of or danger to a person.
He was fined £400 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £160 surcharge.
Company James Davies (Abercych) of The Sawmills, Cenarth, Newcastle Emlyn also received a £660 fine and ordered to pay £264 surcharge and £110 costs for the incident.
